It had multiple uses \u2013 mothers remember bringing their babies to the hut for the baby clinic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was also used as a social space for celebrations, parties, dances, meetings and where Jim Bradley played with his band, whilst still at school \u2013 young people only enjoying soft drinks as it was not a licensed premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jim played the drums with school friends as they performed hits by the Beatles and Rolling Stones etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They would organise the whole event themselves and Jim would make the advertising posters, charging 1 shilling or 1s and 6d to get in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wedding receptions were held in the hut as well as Beetle Drives.
